Dear Cocoon Clients,

We are re-opening on June 1, 2020! We want to thank you for your patience and flexibility during this challenging time. In the interest of the health and safety of our staff, clients, and community, we are implementing new government guidelines and requirements during the Covid-19 Pandemic. These protocols will be continually updated and refined as needed. This is a lot of information and we truly appreciate your cooperation. Here is what you need to know before scheduling your appointment:

  • We are working at a 25% capacity. The salon will have no more than 8 clients at any given time.
  • Please cancel if you are exhibiting any cold, flu, allergy, or Covid-19 symptoms.
  • Cancellations due to illness will be forgiven. Any cancellations or no shows within 24 hours of your appointment time unrelated to illness will be subject to 50-100% of the service fee. We are working reduced hours and any missed appointments impact us negatively.
  • If you have flown within 14 days of your appointment kindly cancel and reschedule.
  • If you have been sick within 14 days of your appointment or have been around anyone who has been sick please cancel.
  • If you are an immunocompromised person please consider postponing your appointment.
  • We are unable to offer beverages at this time. And, no food or beverages will be allowed into the salon.
  • Please arrive on time and alone. No children will be admitted to the salon unless they are having a service and able to be unaccompanied.
  • Please leave any unnecessary items in your vehicle.
  • When you arrive for your appointment please text your service provider directly to let them know. Stay in your car or wait outside until they respond and invite you in.
  • Please arrive wearing a mask. Be advised that the type of mask that loops behind the ears is paramount. During your service water and color may end up on your mask.
  • You will be greeted at the door and asked to have your temperature taken via touch less thermometer. If you have a fever we will be unable to do your service.
  • We will then ask you to sign a liability waiver.
  • Then you will wash your hands and enter the salon. Hand sanitizer will be provided at every station. In case you accidentally touch your face during your service.
  • Please practice social distancing within the salon as much as possible. Please know that we are doing everything we can within the salon to help keep you safe while you are visiting. While we feel that even under normal circumstances we keep a very clean and tidy space we are doing even more now:
  • All staff will have their temps taken before the start of their shift.
  • Anyone exhibiting symptoms or exposed to anyone that has been sick will not be allowed to work.
  • We will be washing our hands constantly. And practicing social distancing inside and outside of work.
  • We will be cleaning the salon surfaces constantly. The salon is also professionally cleaned by a team trained in the new procedures.
  • Stylists are trained and certified on the use of hospital grade and EPA registered disinfectant procedures.
  • Stylists will be wearing masks. Working in a mask for a full day is exhausting and uncomfortable. Please forgive us if we are unusually quiet.
  • All tools, surfaces and stations will be disinfected between every client.
  • Our towels are professionally laundered. All capes will be washed on the sanitize setting and are changed between every client.
  • Our HVAC system is professionally managed and filters are changed weekly.
  • During your service we may have to reduce the amount of styling we normally do to help get you in and out of the salon as efficiently as possible. Round brush blowouts will not be happening at this time.
  • We will be practicing social distancing as much as possible during your appointment. Sadly, that means no hugs, hand shakes, or any unnecessary touching.
