Dear Cocoon Clients,

We want to thank you for your patience and flexibility during this challenging time. In the interest of the health and safety of our staff, clients, and community, we are implementing new government guidelines and requirements during the Covid-19 Pandemic. These protocols will be continually updated and refined as needed. This is a lot of information and we truly appreciate your cooperation. Here is what you need to know before your appointment:

  • We are working at a 50% capacity. The salon will have no more than 8 clients at any given time.
  • Please cancel if you are exhibiting any cold, flu, allergy, or Covid-19 symptoms.
  • Cancellations due to illness will be forgiven. Any cancellations or no shows within 24 hours of your appointment time unrelated to illness will be subject to 50-100% of the service fee. We are working reduced hours and any missed appointments impact us negatively.
  • If you have been sick within 14 days of your appointment or have been around anyone who has been sick please cancel.
  • We are unable to offer beverages at this time. Feel free to BYOB.
  • Please arrive on time and alone. No children will be admitted to the salon unless they are having a service and able to be unaccompanied.
  • When you arrive for your appointment please text your service provider directly to let them know. Stay in your car or wait outside until they respond and invite you in.
  • Please arrive with a face mask that completely covers your nose and mouth. We recommend the typical disposable masks in case they get wet, messy, or hairy. Masks that loop behind the ears are also necessary. Anything that wraps around the head or neck makes it impossible to work around.
  • If the mask you arrive in does do meet our requirements we will happily provide you a disposable mask to wear during your service.
  • If you are unable to wear a mask due to a medical exemption we will require a doctor’s note and that you let us know ahead of time. So we can decide if we are comfortable providing your service and that we have enough PPE to wear to protect ourselves. While we realize this is an inconvenience we hope that you recognize that we are doing everything we can to protect you and to protect ourselves.
  • Ring the doorbell to let us know you’re in our lobby. We will meet you there and offer for you to either wash your hands or use the hand sanitizer we provide.
  • Hand sanitizer will be provided at every station. In case you accidentally touch your face during your service.
  • Please practice social distancing within the salon as much as possible. Please know that we are doing everything we can within the salon to help keep you safe while you are visiting. While we feel that even under normal circumstances we keep a very clean and tidy space we are doing even more now:
  • Anyone exhibiting symptoms or exposed to anyone that has been sick will not be allowed to work.
  • We will be washing our hands constantly. And practicing social distancing inside and outside of work.
  • We will be cleaning the salon surfaces constantly. The salon is also professionally cleaned by a team trained in the new procedures.
  • Stylists are trained and certified on the use of hospital grade and EPA registered disinfectant procedures.
  • Stylists will be wearing masks. Working in a mask for a full day is exhausting and uncomfortable. Please forgive us if we are unusually quiet.
  • All tools, surfaces and stations will be disinfected between every client.
  • Our towels are professionally laundered. All capes will be washed on the sanitize setting and are changed between every client.
  • Our HVAC system is professionally managed and filters are changed weekly.
  • We will be practicing social distancing as much as possible during your appointment. Sadly, that means no hugs, hand shakes, or any unnecessary touching.
